1. About Us
The Green Gourmet provides catering, cooking classes, food products, platters, meze, wine tastings with food, and picnic packages including hire of equipment. By using our website, booking our services, purchasing our products, or hiring equipment, you agree to this Disclaimer and these Terms & Conditions.
2. General Information
The information, menus, products, and materials provided on this website are for general guidance only. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, we make no warranties or representations as to the completeness, reliability, or suitability of the information provided.
3. Food & Allergen Notice
We take care to prepare and present food in a safe and hygienic manner. Where dietary requirements are communicated to us in advance, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate them.
However, we cannot guarantee that any food is completely free from allergens including, but not limited to, gluten, dairy, soy, nuts, seeds, or other potential allergens. Customers with allergies or dietary restrictions must advise us prior to ordering or booking.
5. Orders and Bookings
- All orders and bookings are subject to confirmation by The Green Gourmet.
- We may require a deposit or full payment at the time of booking.
- Your booking is not confirmed until payment is received as agreed.
6. Payment Terms
- Payments can be made via the methods listed on our website or agreed in writing.
- All prices include GST unless otherwise stated.
- Late payments may incur additional charges.
7. Cancellations and Changes
- Cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable).
- For pre-prepared meals or picnic packages, we may refuse a refund if less than 48 hours’ notice is given, as ingredients may already have been purchased and preparation started.
- For catering and larger events, we reserve the right to recover any reasonable costs already incurred, including the cost of food purchased and time spent preparing, if the booking is cancelled after these preparations have begun.
- Cancellation fees (if any) will be advised at the time of booking.
- We reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., severe weather, illness, supply issues). In these cases, we will offer a reschedule, credit, or refund.
8. Equipment Hire (Picnic Packages)
- All hired items remain the property of The Green Gourmet.
- A refundable security deposit may be required at the time of booking. This will be returned in full when all items are returned on time, in clean condition, and without loss or damage.
- The hirer is responsible for the safe use, care, and return of all items by the agreed time.
- Charges may apply for loss, damage, or late return.
- Fair wear and tear is expected and will not incur charges.
- Where items are lost or damaged beyond normal use, the replacement or repair cost may be deducted from the deposit. If the cost exceeds the deposit, the hirer will be invoiced for the balance.
9. Cooking Classes, Events, and Tastings
- Participation is at your own risk.
- Please follow all safety instructions from our staff.
- Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult.
- Wine tastings and any service of alcohol are restricted to guests aged 18 years or over; proof of age may be required.
- We reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol in accordance with New Zealand’s Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Green Gourmet will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense resulting from the use of our website, services, products, or hired equipment.
